> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](https://docs.gpmautomate.com/llms.txt). Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.gpmautomate.com/automate-en/general-introduction/script-guide/file-gpmlaunch-what-is-it.md).

# 1. What is the .gpmlaunch file?

* It is a script running file: You can simply understand that the `.gpmlaunch` file is like a "software file" packaged from the GPM Automate Editor tool. When someone says "run script" or "run tool," they are referring to opening this file.
* Where to get this file: If you are someone who writes scripts yourself, you can build this file for use. If you are a regular user, you can go to the app store [`app.gpmautomate.com`](https://app.gpmautomate.com) to purchase it, or buy directly from service providers who send the file to you.
* Absolute security: This file has been locked and the source code inside is encrypted. Buyers only have the right to run it but cannot view or modify the code, helping script writers protect their "work" and prevent intellectual property theft when sold on the market.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.gpmautomate.com/automate-en/general-introduction/script-guide/file-gpmlaunch-what-is-it.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
